The President of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, Alhaji (Asiwaju) Dapo Wahab has again been recognized with an award of excellence from Oke – Ona Egba Area CDC in recognition of his immense contribution to community development.
The multiple awards winners and an alumni of the prestigious Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta received the recognition on Tuesday at an event held at Oke – Ona Hall within Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
Asiwaju Dapo Wahab in his speech commended the community for the recognition, he advocated for peaceful coexistence and charged the youth to shun drug abuse and and behavior capable of truncating their future and development of the society.
“I am using this opportunity to call for peaceful coexistence among the communities*.
“I urge the youths to shun act of drug abuse as this can affect their future negatively, they should ensure to use their God’s given potential towards the development of their respective Communities which in turn would radiate positively on the society at large”.
“let me also encourage our women to always support all the developmental projects embark upon by the communities as part of the roles of Women in Community development”, Asiwaju said.
Meanwhile, Oke – Ona Area CDC Chairman, Alhaji Tijani Omo – Anobi, described Asiwaju Dapo Wahab as a worthy Community practitioner, who has contributed a lot to the development of oke – ona Egba communities.
He noted further that Asiwaju Dapo Wahab’s efforts with other stakeholders in making sure that all the roads across oke ona Egba are in good shape cannot be overemphasized as oke ona people recorgnized his efforts and prayed that God see him through this in all his undertakings.
