Corps members have been assured of more favourable opportunities abounding in the course of their service year in the State.
The NYSC Oyo State Coordinator Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe gave the assurance while addressing the 2020 Batch B'(Stream ll) Corps members in a low key Closing ceremony at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Iseyin.
She said as aspiring youths, who having been equipped with the core values of hardwork, integrity, patriotism and teamwork during their three weeks on camp it behoves on them to implement all the values in order to discover the thriving opportunities in the State. “I urge you to be guided by these values”.
Ogbuogebe also reminded the Corps members that Oyo “the Pacesetter State” is adjudged one of the most hospitable States thus creating a conducive environment for opportunities to thrive.
The State Coordinator charged them to impact positively in the lives of people in their host communities by embarking on development projects as they commence the second phase of the Service year. She used the opportunity to call on the Covid 19 Vanguard and the entire Corps members to continue adhering strictly to the stipulated protocols. As well as enlightening the populace on the safety measures to help bring down the spike of the second wave infection.
She also encouraged the Corps members to continue with their SAED training at their various Places of Primary Assignment for the mastery of their chosen skill set.
The State Coordinator as the presiding officer was given hearty cheers by Corps members at the end of the parade. The Ceremony had in attendance camp officials both NYSC and non-NYSC.
