Missing TESCOM Director Found Dead In Ondo

A Director in the civil service of Ondo State who had been missing since last Thursday has been found dead.

The body top civil servant identified as Mr. Gbenga Olofingboyegun was discovered on Sunday with his head already cut off.

Olofingboyegun, who was the Director of the Department of Research and Statistics, Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), was declared missing on Thursday after he left the office for undisclosed reasons.

Following his sudden disappearance, family and friends had suspected that he was a victim of kidnappers.

Before the discovery of his body, the family had been waiting for the call of his supposed abductors for a ransom payment.

His decomposing body was found in Saint Theresa Primary School beside Saint Peter’s Unity School in Akure.

According to sources, Olofingboyegun’s head was cut off and taken away with his stomach also ripped open by his assailants.

A family source said the deceased was still in his office dress of suits and tie that he wore to the office when his decomposing body was discovered.

Meanwhile, the Police spokesperson in the state, SP Funmilayo Odunlami said the identity of the decomposing body was yet to be ascertained.
