The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, will lead the foundation-laying ceremony for the much-anticipated Inland Dry Port in Ogun State on Friday, October 11.

This significant event is set to mark a major step forward in boosting economic activity and industrialization in the state.

The port is strategically located at the site of the proposed Dry Port City in Soderu Village, Itori, along the Papalanto-Ewekoro axis, a region poised to become a hub for trade and commerce.

According to a statement by Hon. Kayode Akinmade, Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, this initiative aligns with the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s broader vision of advancing the state’s industrial base and enhancing economic growth.

“This groundbreaking event showcases the government’s commitment to fostering economic development and ensuring Ogun State remains at the forefront of industrialization,” Akinmade emphasized.

The ceremony will attract a diverse group of key stakeholders, including transport experts, regulatory agencies, and policymakers.

Among the expected attendees are representatives from the Nigerian Shippers Council, the Nigerian Railway Corporation, the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), the Ogun State Shippers Association, freight forwarders, and other prominent figures from the transport and logistics sectors.
