Lockdown: Dapo Wahab Foundation Provides Relief Materials for Widows, Youths, Others In Ogun

It was a day of succour and joy for residents of Ifedara Opeji Area CDC, Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State as Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation doled out foodstuffs to widows and youths of the community so as to cushion the effects of the lockdown over the outbreak of Corona virus pandemic in the country without exemption of Ogun State.

This was contained in a release issued by Mr. Adejola Adeyemi Crown, Director of Media and Publicity to Asiwaju Dapo Wahab in Abeokuta today.

 

According to the release, the gesture was done to complement the efforts of Ogun State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun to reduce the effect of the lockdown on people.

It added that the distribution of different foodstuffs including rice, garri, beans and salt was performed at Health Center, Albarka Area, Baleesi Town via Bode-Olude Abeokuta the Ogun State capital in the early hours of today.

Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, FAAPM, FISL, AICMC, JP, the Founder of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation who also doubles as the Chairman of Ifedara-Opeji Area CDC stated that the relief materials were meant to cater for the basic needs of the indigents widows and vulnerable youths at this period of stay-at-home order imposed by the government to reduce the spread of Corona virus pandemic.

Asiwaju Dapo Wahab said, “the food distribution is meant for the widows and youths because food is one of the essential needs during this lockdown and government on its part has done their best and it’s left in the hands of private organizations, individuals, philanthropists to support the good desires of the government.”

“We have done a thorough job by keenly selecting those that are really in need of the relief materials among our sub-communities so as to really cater for the most vulnerable and needy”

“My foundation like we have always been doing in the past will continue to make sure that the best kind of life is giving to our people and we will not renege in our visions, he added

Asiwaju Dapo Wahab therefore advised the beneficiaries and residents to fully comply with all measures put in place by the government and relevant health officials as the Foundation won’t renege in playing his community Social responsibility roles.

He thereafter prayed that God will heal the land and make these trying time for people and nation as a whole pass bye in a short while.
