…reiterates commitment to humanitarian services
The President of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, (Alhaji) Aare Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, has joined the Lions Club International.
Asiwaju Dapo Wahab was decorated with the Lions Pin by the club’s District Governor, during a sensitization programme on War Against Drug Abuse, organized by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in conjunction with Lions Club in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Thursday.
On his part, the Lions Club District 40483 Nigeria Governor, Lion Otunba Olayiwola Fadairo, said the honour was part of the clubs effort to spread gospel of lionism and recognize him for his service to humanity.
He expressed hope that with the likes of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab and other selfless individuals in the society, Lions Club in Nigeria will continue in its contributions to make Nigeria and the immediate community a better place.
He said, “with the way Asiwaju Dapo Wahab was introduced to us and all the humanitarian services he has been doing with his foundation, it gladdens our hearts and this is why I am decorating him with my Lions year Pin”.
“We are hopeful that this recognition and decoration would aid him to ~to~ ~more~ _more_ the benefit of humanity”.
“I have however handed him over to Abeokuta Lions Coral Club, where he would be duly inducted into Lions Club International”, he stressed.
In his remarks, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab appreciated members of the club for the honour done him, describing the honour as spectacular and historic.
He maintained that the recognition would spur him to get more involved in the service to humanity.
