…Sets Sights on November 16 Election Victory
In a strategic move to strengthen its campaign ahead of the November 16, 2024, local government elections in Ogun State, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated Hon. Dele Erisan as the Director-General of the APC Campaign Council for Obafemi-Owode Local Government.
The inauguration took place today, October 23, 2024, at the Obafemi-Owode township, where Erisan was charged with leading a team of over 1,000 party members to secure victory for the party’s candidates in the forthcoming election.
Hon. Dele Erisan, a seasoned grassroots politician and former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, is expected to steer the campaign council to deliver an overwhelming win for the APC.
“Our campaign team spans across the 12 wards and over 300 polling units in Obafemi-Owode Local Government, and we are ready to secure a landslide victory for all APC candidates on November 16,” Erisan stated.
The campaign committee includes notable figures such as Hon. Abiola Asalulola, Hon. Lukmon Sanyaolu, Hon. Nike Osoba, Hon. Fatai Eruobodo, Chief Shina Olowobafu, and others, who are all working towards ensuring the party’s success.
Speaking on the campaign structure, the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Sub-committee, Hon. Abiola Asalulola, emphasized that the campaign plan was meticulously crafted and approved by the Ogun State APC executive committee.
“The composition of our campaign council is the first of its kind, and it aligns perfectly with the vision of the APC to secure victory in the council election while ensuring that our candidates offer quality leadership at the local government level,” he said.
Asalulola also praised the leadership of Hon. Dele Erisan and his dedicated team, noting that their energy and commitment will ensure credible leadership for the local government.
“Together, we will unlock the full potential of Obafemi-Owode, delivering impactful projects and empowering our communities to thrive,” he affirmed.
The campaign will focus on propagating the ‘Ise Ya’ developmental agenda of Governor Dapo Abiodun, showcasing the achievements of the APC-led administration, and highlighting the unique qualities of the chairmanship candidate, Ambassador Ogunsola Lanrewaju Adesina FCPA, along with his running mate, Hon. Sobukanla Aboidun Opeoluwa.
“The APC is approaching this election with a clear strategy and commitment to reach every corner of the 12 wards in Obafemi-Owode Local Government. Our campaign will effectively communicate the strengths of our candidates and their readiness to lead,” Asalulola added.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Dele Erisan expressed gratitude to the party leadership for the confidence placed in him. He thanked Governor Dapo Abiodun for his exemplary leadership, which has allowed the APC to present highly capable candidates for the election.
“This election will be a defining moment for our local government, and we are fully prepared to campaign rigorously and deliver victory across all polling units on November 16,” Erisan concluded.
