Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is desperate to see Kenneth Omeruo leave Chelsea permanently this season, but he remains worried by the huge price-tag placed on his defender, Sports Extra has reliably gathered.
Omeruo’s inability to play for the reigning Europa League champions has seen him being sent out on loan in the last six seasons and Rohr admits a summer exit from Stamford Bridge will improve the defender’s form.
“Kenneth and me agreed that he does not have to go back to Chelsea, he still belongs to Chelsea and they should not ask too much money for him which is the case where they are asking for €8m, that’s too much,” Rohr told Sports Extra exclusively.
“He did well in Spain, let him play, they must not ask for so much money, it’s not fair, so, he should continue in Spain, where he had a very good season.”
The 26-year-old is yet to make an official appearance for the Blues since he joined in 2012 and have been shipped out on loan to ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasimpasa twice, Alanyaspor and Leganes.
