A former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Deputy-Governor, ‘Tunde Lemo, OFR has announced a donation of N2.5Million each to both Lagos and Ogun State- Governments as part of his contributions to fight the spread of COVID-19.
The Founder, Tunde Lemo Foundation disclosed this on Wednesday in a press statement issued by his Communication Adviser, Eddy Ademosu.
Lemo who had initially provided palliatives for residents of Awoyaya community in Ibeju-Lekki Local government Area of Lagos State and, Orile-Imo community in Obafemi-Owode Local government area of Ogun State in collaboration with his Associates, commended both States’ Governors for their exemplary leadership in fighting the pandemic.
Rev Lemo called on well meaning Nigerians to do more in providing support for the citizens, especially the teeming poor and vulnerable groups.
Similarly, the Foundation through its Lend a helping hand programme for the youths, is sponsoring 57 youths registered in three vocational training centres in Lagos and Ogun state with financial outlay of over N15Million.
The beneficiaries were staggered across the three vocational training centres which are Peter Akinola Foundation in Abeokuta, Automedics and Etiwa Tech in Lagos State
According to the Foundation, the youth empowerment programme which runs between 2020 to 2024 has capacity to train more Nigerians interested in the vocational trainings.
