LASTMA GETS NEW GENERAL MANAGER

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has appointed Engr. Olajide Oduyoye as the General Manager of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) to replace Mr. Olawale Maroof Musa, who was appointed Permanent Secretary in the State’s Transportation Ministry.

Prior to his current appointment, Oduyoye was Deputy Director, Traffic Management & Transport Safety at the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA).

Oduyoye, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (FCILT), started his career at the London Borough Hammersmith and Fulham as Traffic Engineer from 1990. In 2005, he joined the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) as a World Bank Technical Adviser on Traffic Systems Management.

He has been involved in so many projects since he joined the Lagos State Government, including the Junctions Improvement Design at 57 locations in Lagos; Design, Supervision and Implementation of BRT Mile 12 to CMS (Traffic Management & Safety); Ikeja, Yaba and Oyingbo Bus Terminals (Traffic Systems Management), amongst others.

Engr. Oduyoye has United Kingdom work experience in Transportation as well as Airport Planning, Design & Management.

He has since assumed duties at the LASTMA headquarters in Oshodi.
