Lagos Police Arrest Suspects Operating Fake Sachet Water Factory

The Lagos State Police Command has busted a fake sachet water factory operating in Oluwole Market, Apapa, and arrested several suspects.

The factory was allegedly producing sachet water using another company’s brand name and NAFDAC registration number.

According to the police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, “These suspects fraudulently used the brand name and NAFDAC number of another sachet water producing company to produce their sachet water inside Oluwole Market, Apapa.”

The suspects were caught with already packaged sachet water ready for distribution. Hundeyin noted,

“We thank residents for providing us with valuable information that led to the discovery and arrest of the suspects.”

The police are investigating the incident and have vowed to crack down on counterfeit products in the state. Hundeyin assured, “We will continue to work tirelessly to protect the public from fraudulent activities like this.”
