Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested four suspects in connection with car vandalism and possession of a firearm in separate incidents in the state.

In the first incident, 39-year-old Monday Julius was arrested for alleged car vandalism in the Oshodi area.

According to the Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, “Officers of Ilupeju Division while investigating a report about a Toyota Yaris Saloon Car that was removed from where it was parked, arrested one Monday Julius ‘m’ aged 39 at Oshodi.”

The suspect had begun to disassemble the car to sell in parts as he could not sell it whole. The vehicle has been recovered, and an investigation is ongoing.

In another development, operatives arrested three suspects – Stephen Olawale, 42, James Ayeba, 21, and Uzochukwu, 38 – during a ‘Stop and Search’ duty at Obalende area of Lagos. A locally made pistol was found in their possession, along with a Lagos State Rider’s permit and substance suspected to be hard drugs.

SP Hundeyin stated, “The suspects will be prosecuted after the ongoing investigation into their arrest.”

The Lagos State Police Command is investigating both incidents.
