Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps Arrests Vandals Damaging 3rd Mainland Bridge Road Lights

Officers of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) have apprehended a 46-year-old man, Mr. Friday Nwafor, for vandalizing the newly installed road light indicators on the 3rd Mainland Bridge.

The suspect was caught tampering with the infrastructure on Tuesday, causing damage to the road lights.

According to a statement by the LNSC, “On Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, our officers arrested a road infrastructure vandal who was damaging the newly constructed 3rd Mainland Bridge road light indicators.

The suspect, Mr. Friday Nwafor, a 46-year-old male resident of Lagos, was taken into custody and handed over to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos Command, Mr. Adegoke Fayoade.”

In an update on Wednesday, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, shared a video of the suspect and stated, “Thank you, #OfficialLNSC. The suspect has been duly received, and investigation has commenced.”

This swift action by the LNSC and the Lagos State Police Command demonstrates their commitment to protecting public infrastructure and ensuring the safety of citizens.
