Lagos DPO Slumps, Dies at Police Station

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ijanikin Police Station, Lagos State, CSP Bolaji Olugbenga, has died after reportedly collapsing in his office.

The tragic incident occurred late Thursday night, and efforts to rush him to the hospital proved futile as he was pronounced dead before medical intervention.

The sudden demise of CSP Olugbenga has plunged officers at the station into deep mourning.

According to a police officer who chose to remain anonymous, “He slumped in the office on Thursday and was quickly rushed to the hospital. But sadly, we lost him.”

At the time of this report, the Lagos State Police Command had yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.

The body of the late DPO has since been moved to the mortuary, while the station remains in shock following his untimely death.
