Lagos Anti-Crime Team Apprehends Two Youths Over Alleged Cult Activities

Two suspects, Alimi Abdulrazak and Eniola Shamsudeen, both 18 years old, have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command over alleged involvement in cultism.

The arrest was confirmed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement to the press on Monday.

The two suspects, who reside in Oniwaya, Agege, were apprehended by officers from the Elere Division during an anti-crime patrol along Ipaja Road at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Sunday.

According to SP Hundeyin, the suspects were intercepted by the patrol team near the Agbotikuyo area and were found carrying a backpack. “Upon searching the bag, two axes and two empty bottles were discovered,” he revealed.

The police spokesperson further stated that investigations into the matter are ongoing to determine the full extent of the suspects’ involvement in cult activities.
