The management of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has announced the suspension of access to the portal of a male student allegedly involved in a skit depicting inappropriate contact with females.

According to Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, Acting Director of University Relations, this action serves as an initial punitive measure pending further investigation by the Student Disciplinary Committee.

Aliyu emphasized that the skits do not align with the institution’s values, or the ethical standards upheld by the majority of KWASU students.

She reiterated KWASU’s commitment to producing graduates of exemplary character and academic excellence, affirming a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of misconduct.

The directive to disable the student’s portal was issued by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jimoh Shaykh-Luqman, reflecting KWASU’s dedication to maintaining decency and upholding universal moral values promoted by all religions.
