The embattled chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bayo Dayo, has alleged that former governorship aspirant, Senator Buruji Kashamu collected money from the All Progressive Congress and other parties in the last election, despite parading himself as the governorship candidate of the PDP.

Dayo said this on Friday, when fielding questions from journalists who asked about his sore relationship with Senator Kashamu.

Recall that the PDP in the state did not approve of Kashamu’s candidacy in the election, but endorsed former House of Representatives member, Ladi Adebutu as the party’s candidate.

Dayo alleges that Kashamu sabotaged the party’s efforts in securing the top seat in the state.

He said, “People have been telling me that he was not in the election; five days ago that my ward chairman told me that did I know that shortly before the election, Buruji Kashamu called all that chairmen in ijebu igbo, and he telephone an APC candidate and he told the chairman to talk to the candidate. They all spoke with the candidate and the candidate told them to work for him,

“How can you be contesting to be a governor in one party, and be calling another candidate that you have people that will be working for him and you are talking money from that candidate.

“Buruji kashamu collected money from APC leader I don’t want to mention his name because he is a leader of repute, he collected 400 million, from him . According to information we got, I was not there and I don’t want to mention the name because he is a leader , a leader of repute and I don’t want to damage his name. He (Kashamu) was collecting money from left right and centre.”

Dayo alleged that Kashamu was in politics because of money, arguing that the latter was a criminal not worthy of being a senator.

He said Kashamu was an accidental lawmaker, who had no academic qualification and had criminal records
