Kano Police Rescue 4-Year-Old Boy Kidnapped by Cousin, Arrest Three Suspects

The Kano State Police Command has successfully rescued a four-year-old boy, Muhammad Jamilu, who was kidnapped by his cousin and two others.

The boy was abducted from Sharada quarters and taken to Gwarzo town, where the kidnappers demanded a N10 million ransom.

According to the police spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, “On receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Salman Dogo Garba, directed that the victim be rescued and the culprit(s) be trailed and arrested.”

The surveillance team led by CSP Kabiru Kangiwa successfully carried out the rescue mission, using technical support to arrest three suspects, including the principal suspect, Hisbullahi Salisu, who is the victim’s cousin.

The principal suspect confessed to the crime, saying “I conspired with the two other mentioned suspects, kidnapped the victim and took him to our hideout in Gwarzo Town, Gwarzo LGA, Kano State.”

The police spokesperson commended the surveillance team for their professionalism and swift response, saying “The victim was rescued unhurt and reunited with his parents after a medical examination at the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano.”
