The state command’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, stated in a press release on Friday that the arrest occurred on Thursday by officers from the Buruku Police Division.
He explained that the officers were conducting a routine patrol along Buruku Bridge when they intercepted a black Golf III saloon vehicle. “Upon a thorough search of the vehicle, the officers discovered twenty (20) locally fabricated AK-47 rifles and an empty type 06 magazine hidden in the vehicle’s boot,” he said.
