Just in: Kidnapped Abia radio presenter regains freedom from abdutors

Chineye Iwuoha, a staff of Pacesetter FM, Umuahia has regained freedom from her abdutors.

There was jubilation among her colleagues on Thursday morning when news of her release was broken.

While details of her release are still sketchy, it was gathered she was released unhurt.

Her abductors had demanded for a N20m ransom.

Commissioner of Police, CP Janet Agbede, in a telephone interview, confirmed the release of the OAP.

Agbede said that the kidnappers released her unconditionally as police mounted heavy pressure on them.

At the time of filing the report, it was gathered she was at the police station.
