Investiture of Shorunke As ABEOCCIMA President Holds Thursday

The Investiture of Mr. Timothy Erigbemi Shorunke, FCA, FCTI as the President of Abeokuta Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ABEOCCIMA) and the inauguration of the Executive Committee for 2024 – 2026 will hold on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Commerce House, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Shorunke, a renowned Chartered Accountant and Tax Expert, has served the Chamber in various capacities and previously chaired the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Abeokuta Zone.

He will succeed Otunba A. Babs Adesanya as President, who assumed the position in June 2022.

Shorunke’s professional credentials include qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in November 1997 and joining CITN on September 17, 1999, becoming an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria since May 2000.

He completed his MBA, Marketing Management with Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho in 2000.

Shorunke also completed his BSc. Accounting at Olabisi Onabanjo University in 2011 with second class (upper division) and is presently undergoing his Accounting programme with Crescent University, Abeokuta.

He is also a graduate member of Nigeria Institute of Management, NIM since 2003.

Presently, he is the Managing Consultant at SETH Consulting, Abeokuta, a firm of Tax Practitioners and Consultants, with licensed No 602, on 21st April, 2011, to carry out Tax practices in Nigeria by The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, CITN.

Also, the Managing Partner of Gbemi Shorunke & Co , (Chartered Accountants), Abeokuta, a firm of Chartered Accountants with licensed no PL 012921, dated March 14, 2016, to carry out a statutory audit in Nigeria by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN.

Shorunke is currently the 1st Deputy President of Abeokuta Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ABEOCCIMA).

Meanwhile, the Chamber’s 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) will feature a lecture by Dr. Olubunmi Kole-Dawodu, Deputy Director/Head of SMEDAN Lagos Office, on “Strategies for Accessing Funds for Business Development: Leveraging the Intervention Roles of SMEDAN”.
