Popular Nollywood Actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday through NBS Foundation in partnership with Ojulowo Omoluabi Holdings and Jaw Jaw Community Media Support Foundation this Tuesday celebrated International Women’s Day in grand style.
The kind gesture which was done as part of the Foundation’s effort aimed at bringing smiles to the faces of the needy, vulnerable and widows to commemorate the 2022 International Women’s Day distributed foods and other items to vulnerable and widows in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The outreach had scores of people as beneficiaries around Panseke Market, Kuto Market, Lafenwa market and other areas in Abeokuta. The food items distributed include; rice, vegetable oil, noodles, and many more, as the beneficiaries, trooped out to have their share of the gesture.
Speaking at the International women’s day, IWD, hangout held at the Omoluabi House, Oke lantoro, Abiola way, Abeokuta. The Founder of the Foundation, Nkechi Blessing Sunday noted that the rationale behind the gesture was to ensure equal distribution of food items in regardless of the economy so as to ensure that nobody stays hungry, especially the widows.
“So, we decided to come out and share some food items to people without food. I feel that no widows should go to bed hungry”.
“We all know that food is a basic necessity of life but sad enough to see that most people in our immediate community can’t even afford food for themselves”.
” We are going to reach out to about 200 vulnerable and widows, to show them love and to say happy international women’s to them”. Nkechi stated.
In his remark, the CEO Omoluabi Holdings, Omoluabi Victor Eniola Mark, joined the women in the world to celebrate the international women’s day at the IWD hangout, with the theme “Breaking the bias within”.
Mark who also used the opportunity to appreciate all members of the team who made the hangout a possible.
