IGP Boosts Security Measures for Eid-el-Kabir, Assures Public Safety

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to public safety and security as the country prepares for Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

According to a statement signed by Force PRO, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the IGP has directed enhanced deployment of personnel and resources across the country.

He said Commissioners of Police and Assistant Inspectors-General of Police have been instructed to implement strategic security measures in their areas of responsibility.

The IGP has emphasized the importance of professional conduct, discipline, and respect for citizens’ fundamental rights during these operations.

As the Muslim community celebrates Eid-el-Kabir, the IGP extends his warm wishes for a peaceful and joyous celebration.

The police have advised the public to adhere to security advisories and traffic regulations, report suspicious activities to the nearest police station or contact police emergency lines, and utilize social media platforms to reach the police.
