A shocking turn of events has unfolded in the investigation into the death of Aribemchukwu, the daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia.
One of the domestic workers employed by the family has reportedly admitted to killing Aribemchukwu, whose body was discovered outside the gate of their Parkview Estate residence in Ikoyi, Lagos on Wednesday.
According to a police source, the housemaid confessed to the crime during interrogation, stating “We do am, na we do am” (meaning “We did it, we did it”).
The source revealed that the suspects attempted to clean up blood stains but missed some spots due to the incident occurring at night.
The police believe Aribemchukwu was killed in her bedroom, dragged outside, and her body dumped at the gate to make it appear as though she was killed outside.
The suspects also allegedly packed Aribemchukwu’s valuables after the incident.
Notably, all three domestic workers were employed just a week before the incident. Aribemchukwu, a medical doctor, had recently gotten married.
