The Yewa South Local Government caretaker chairman, Hon. Bode Fagbenro assumed duty at the Local Government Complex, Ilaro amid warm welcome from the Heads and staffs of various departments. Shortly after the morning prayer in his office, the Chairman swong into action immediately, received the handing over note from the Head of the Local Government Administration (HOLGAN), followed by a brief interactive session with other members of the transition committee.

The Council Boss who was joined by his committee members and others, embarked on an assessment tour across the various departments to see the condition of the local government facilities. “The condition I met most of the facilities alarming and disheartening, we have to improve on what we met on ground without further delay, so as a matter of urgency, we have to ensure that we revive the water system and toilet facilities in this Council Complex. It is very important that we do this in few weeks time to put smiles on the face of the workers here,” says the council Boss.

Hon. Bode further reiterates the commitment of the State government in ensuring a working an effective Local government system across the state and he once again promised to work towards the building of our future together agenda of the state government for life more abundant for the good people of Yewa South local government area.
