A Political Support Group; Bola Campaign Organization (BCO) on Saturday, called those aggrieved politicians scheming to disrupt the peaceful transition of power from the incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari to the President – Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to bury their ideas in the collective interests of the nation.
BCO specifically appealed to Nigerians to continue to live together harmoniously and remain relentless in their prayer supports for the incoming administration of the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration which is expected to take effect come May 29, 2023.
In its Eld-El-Fitr felicitation message issued in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital and jointly signed by its National Patron, Alhaji Korede Abdulwahab Quadri, the National Coordinator, QS Mohamed Makinta and its National Women Leader, Alhaja Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, the group called on members of the public not to forget the lessons learned by the Muslim faithfuls during the holy month of Ramadan, but remain “pious and close to Allah and denying themselves in total submission to His will”.
Describing Tinubu’s political victory as “a reflection of his dedication, leadership prowess”, BCO stressed that the year 2023 exercise was a manifestation of his determination “to lead the most populous country in Africa towards actualising a renewed hope for a better Nigeria”.
The group however, charged aggrieved parties, particularly those ones that are “not comfortable” with the outcome of the presidential election declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to follow the path of honour by waiting for the decisions of the Elections Petition Tribunal rather than resorting to illegal means of agitation.
“The Constitution does not have provision for intern government, but rather those aggrieved by the victory of Tinubu should wait for the tribunal. All post election cases are already in court for legal redress, they should not do that at the detriment of Nigeria’s peaceful coexistence and unity”.
“We are confident of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s track records and we are sure this and many more would be put into use to improve Nigeria’s unity, democratic system, infrastructural development, security architecture, education, and other important Sector of the economy among other comity of states”.
“Finally, we’ll like to use this medium to sound not of warning to broadcast houses to be on the lookout and not be allowed to be used as instrument by political gladiators to disrupt Nigeria’s democratic system, segregation and national unity”.
“It is our desire to see Nigeria thrive and as a place to call our own even as we strive to ensure its existence despite the many challenges facing it at the moment”.
