The governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the ongoing governorship election appears leading in the poll with a comfortable margin.
Official results of 15 Local Governments so far announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has put the governor in a leading position.
A source from TheCableng indicates that although 14 political parties participated in the election, the contest was believed to have largely been between the incumbent Governor Obaseki and Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
