The Ondo State Executive Council has approved the appointment of a 15-year-old boy, Oloyede Adeyeoba as the King of Okeluse town in Ose Local Government Area of the state.
The new young traditional ruler, who was said to have been selected by the kingmakers as monarch since last year, was said to be a Senior Secondary School II pupil.
The state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mrs. Lola Fagbemi, disclosed this while speaking to journalists on the outcome of the state Executive Council meeting on Tuesday.
The council, which was presided over by the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, also approved the appointment of Mr. Ebenezer Ogunmolasuyi as the Olupenmen of Upenmen town in Owo Local Government Area of the state
Fagbemi said the appointments followed an election conducted by kingmakers in the communities.
According to a community source, Adeyeoba was the only son of the late occupant of the throne, the new monarch’s elder sister, Aderonke, was made the regent of the community.
A source also disclosed that there had been arrangement on ground on how the young monarch would go back to school and complete his education, up to the university level.
