Abuja, Nigeria – Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, today paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
During the meeting, Governor Abiodun expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu for the honor bestowed upon the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, during the commissioning ceremony of the Sikiru Adetona School of Governance at Olabisi Onabanjo University.
The Governor commended President Tinubu for the high-powered Federal delegation’s attendance at the ceremony, which celebrated the 90th birthday and 64th coronation anniversary of the Awujale. He particularly thanked the President for the presence of Vice President Kashim Shettima and Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, which added grandeur to the occasion.
Governor Abiodun also expressed his appreciation for President Tinubu’s announcement regarding the conferment of the National Honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger on the Awujale of Ijebuland and the directive for the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies to manage the school.
Furthermore, the Governor highlighted the kind remarks and encomiums showered on the Awujale in a tribute letter addressed to him by President Tinubu, which were indeed heartwarming.
Reaffirming his commitment to aligning with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision for a better Nigeria, Governor Abiodun pledged to continue implementing socio-economic transformative initiatives in Ogun State.
