Governor Abiodun Clinches Silverbird’s 2023 Man of the Year Award, Pledges Economic Prosperity for Ogun State

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has received the prestigious 2023 Man of the Year Award from the Silverbird Group at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos, on Sunday.

The award underscores his administration’s dedication to reshaping the state for increased economic prosperity.

Governor Abiodun, reiterating his commitment to socio-economic development, highlighted the administration’s focus on fostering good governance, a business-friendly environment, and enhanced security, resulting in a notable influx of industries.

Over the past four and a half years, the governor emphasized transformative efforts, positioning Ogun State as a preferred investment destination. Successful implementation of people-oriented policies, reforms for efficiency, and infrastructure development contributed to the state’s recognition as the most improved in Internally Generated Revenue.

Governor Abiodun expressed gratitude to the Silverbird Group and saw the honor as a call to serve the people even more, promising to build on the achievements of his first term.

In addressing current economic challenges, the governor urged Nigerians to remain calm, assuring that President Bola Tinubu is actively working towards a lasting solution.

Dedicating the award to the people of Ogun State, civil servants, and supporters, Governor Abiodun received commendation from Air Peace CEO, Chief Allen Onyema, who highlighted accelerated development under the ‘Building our Future Together’ agenda.

Senator Afolabi Salis and Hon. Gboyega Isiaka praised Governor Abiodun’s transformative policies, emphasizing the positive impact on the economic landscape and improved Internally Generated Revenue.

Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, lauded the governor’s worker-friendly policies, enhancing professionalism in the civil service.

The award ceremony, attended by dignitaries from various sectors, celebrated Governor Abiodun’s achievements, including representatives from Delta and River states, former Governor Aremo Olusegun Osoba, members of the National and state assemblies, government officials, and business leaders.
