Gov Alia Promises To Implement Minimum Wage For Benue Workers’

Benue state workforce have expressed appreciation to Governor Hyacinth Alia led administration for the promotion, prompt payment of salaries and pensions which now comes on or before 25th of every month, stresses that the new leadership of the state has usher in a new vista of hope for Benue workers.

The State chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress. (NLC), Terungwa Igbe, stated this during Workers day celebration on May 1st, at the IBB square Makurdi, where he also called for the payment of salaries of primary school teachers on or before 25th of every month.

Governor Hyacinth Alia who assured workers of prompt of prompt payment of salaries and arrears, shortly after saluting the Benue workers as well as those in the private sectors during the match past, promised that his administration will implement the minimum wage as soon the committee raps up the report.

The governor who reiterate his commitment to improving the life of Benue people says he will not fail on his mandate and called on the people and workers to give in their all for the progress and development of the state…
