Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, on Friday joined other dignitaries and eminent personalities from across the country at the burial service for the late Olatunji Fagboyegun, held at the Cathedral Church of St David, Ijomu, Akure.
In a condolence letter personally signed by the Governor, He described the late Olatunji Fagboyegun as the scion of the highly reputable Fagboyegun family of Uso/Owo.
While describing the late Olatunji’s demise as shocking, the Governor said the deceased was industrious, selfless, focused and generous.
“He was a person in whose presence one felt an overwhelming radiance of conviviality, amity and brilliance. He was never tired of assisting the downtrodden. He possessed the Midas Touch, anything he ventured into turned to gold. He was the entrepreneur associated with quintessence in all his dealings. He was the shining star among other entrepreneurs who were his contemporaries.” He said.
Other dignitaries at the service include: the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and his wife, Mrs Bamide Abiodun; the former Governor of Adamawa State, Mr Bala James Ngilari, Senator Lekan Mustapha and some members of the Ondo State .
In his sermon, the Archbishop of Ondo Province and Bishop of Akure Diocese of the Anglican Communion, Rt Revd. Dr Oluwole Borokini charged the congregation to live a worthy life, adding that it is the only way to secure a place in eternity.
