Gov. Abiodun Task traditional Council on Promoting Peaceful Co- existence

The executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has charged the state traditional council to intensify efforts on activities that will promote peaceful coexistence across the state.

Governor Abiodun gave the charge Tuesday while declaring open the statutory meeting of the state council of obas held at the oba’s complex, Oke-mosan, Abeokuta.

The Governor urged the monarchs to cooperate with the government and it’s designated agencies in ensuring that the dividend of democracy is enjoyed by the people of the state.

The Governor while describing the monarchs as the custodian of the culture and traditions advised them to be more accessible, receptive and responsive to the people and government as occasion demands.

Reiterating the commitment of the government in the implementation of an inclusive governance for the prosperity of the prosperity of the people of the state, governor Abiodun assured that government would continue to consult the monarch for advice and guidance towards achieving socioeconomic development for the state.

The Governor who appreciated the monarch for their unwavering support during the pandemic that affected the entire world including the state and the recent endsars protest assured that government would continue to prioritize their welfare , urging them to assist the government in containing the second wave of the covid 19 pandemic.

The number one man in the state harped on the need for the monarchs to see the meeting as an opportunity to brainstorm on issues that will help in the development agenda of building the future of the state together.
