Gov. Abiodun Reconstitutes Governing Councils For OOU, TASUED, Six Others

Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun has approved the reconstitution of the Governing Councils of the two State–owned Universities and Six Polytechnics across the state .

This approval was contained in a release by the Secretary to the state government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi and obtained by Tropic Reporters correspondent in Abeokuta today.

The statement has it that Abiodun who is also the visitor to All the Tertiary Institutions in the State has approved the composition of the Governing Councils of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye; Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun; Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta; Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa; Gateway Polytechnic, Saapade; Abaraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu-Igbo; D.S. Adegbenro Polytechnic, Itori and Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilese”.

According to Talabi, the new councils have been appointed from a legion of qualified and competent professionals and academic that abound in the state.

He urged the appointees to immediately roll up their sleeves to provide leadership for all the institutions and positioned them for the task of “Building Our Future Together”, even as they work assiduously to promote excellence in teaching, research and management of men and resources.
