He cited projects such as the Kajola Inland Dry Port and the Abeokuta-Ota Federal Highway reconstruction as vital to Ogun’s connectivity and growth.
“These initiatives reflect our investment in both physical infrastructure and public security, with added funding for technology, patrol vehicles, and other essentials to ensure a safe environment for residents,” he added.
Governor Abiodun also called for increased Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) through technological advances in tax collection, aiming to reduce Ogun’s dependence on federal allocations.
He urged stakeholders to support the government in its pursuit of a prosperous Ogun, saying, “The opportunity to unlock the full potential of Ogun’s economy is within reach, and we are committed to achieving it.”
In his remarks, Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan, commended the administration’s focus on sustainable initiatives that foster growth.
He assured stakeholders that no sector would be overlooked in the delivery of good governance and encouraged everyone to work together in upholding principles of transparency and accountability.
