Gov. Abiodun Installs Onipara, Calls For Value-Driven Dedicated Leadership

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has installed the Onipara of Ipara-Remo, Oba Taiwo Taiwo, in Remo North Local Government Area of the State.

Governor Abiodun, while speaking at the presentation of Staff of Office to the new Monarch, said his leadership skills should attract credible investors from within and outside the community, to usher in speedy growth and progress to the town.

The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape stated that the present administration was committed to the development of the State, in the areas of Infrastructure, Social Welfare and Wellbeing, Education, Youth Development and Agriculture (ISEYA), adding that the unwavering support of the citizenry would bring about the realisation of its agenda.

“Our administration is committed to the development of the State, in the implementation of the ISEYA, which stem from the ‘Building our Future Together’ agenda. We will continue to seek for your support, in order to fulfill our electioneering promises to you”, he said.

Abiodun charged the Monarch to be a value-driven and dedicated leader, who would bring positive change to his community within a short period of time, towards improving the commercial activities in the area.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Transition Committee Chairman, Remo North Local Government, Hon. Abiodun Somoye urged Oba Taiwo to operate an open-door policy, that would allow the people to relate with him for continued development of the community.

Also speaking, the Akarigbo and Paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Adewale Ajayi in his remarks, welcomed the new Oba to the Remo Traditional Council, enjoining him to cooperate with other council members, in order to bring Remoland to an enviable position among its peers.

Oba Taiwo in his acceptance speech, appreciated the Dapo Abiodun-led administration for the approval as the new Onipara, and the Governor’s effort on security of lives and property, promising to work for the peace of the land and the entire State.
