The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has successfully trained 415 road marshal assistants on modern patrol and rescue operations skills.
The week-long training, held at the Road Marshal Assistant Training School in Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau, aimed to enhance service delivery in patrol and rescue operations.
According to Yakubu Mohammad, commandant of the school, the training aligns with the corps marshal’s vision for the corps. Participants from various commands across the country attended the exercise, tagged “Repositioning FRSC for Enhanced Service Delivery in Patrol and Rescue Operations.”
The training program equipped participants with valuable knowledge on rescue operations, enforcement, technology use, discipline, integrity, and inter-agency collaboration.
Mohammad urged the participants to become change agents in their respective commands, applying the knowledge gained to become good ambassadors of the corps.
He advised the participants to exhibit civility in their operations and urged motorists to obey traffic rules and cooperate with marshals to ensure sanity on highways.
