Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, visits Governor Wike in Abuja

Former Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has visited Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, in his Abuja residenc.

The Former Vice President who emerged the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday defated Governor Wike with 371 votes to 237 votes for the Rivers State Governor.

The Governor was widely said to have been disappointed by the result of the election especially what was termed as betrayal by Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, who withdrew at the last minute, making it difficult for him to respond to his decision.

He had been rumoured to be ready to support any other candidate but the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

The visit by the former Vice President is one to mend fences by the fornmer ruling partya nd present a common front against the All Progressives Congress who are yet to elect a Presidential candidate for the 2023 Elections.
