Food Security: Agric Capital Partners Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, Inducts 25 Beneficiaries

As part of efforts to ensure active participation of youths, men and women in Agriculture and its value chain for food sufficiency, job creation and to boost the economy.

Agric Capital in conjunction with Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation today in an event which was held at Sparkle- Cherry International Limited office complex, Abiola way, Abeokuta the Ogun State capital saw the induction of Twenty-five youths and farmers as beneficiaries in its first phase of empowerment with the provision of ploughed land, seedlings and other necessary farm items.

In his remark, a former President of Abeokuta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture. Mr. Akinola Lawson admonished the beneficiaries of the project to be dedicated ,and hard-working in order to justify the resources given to them.

Mr. Lawson further emphasized the negative effects of neglegence as it would affect the crop output at the time of haverst.

He however thanked Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation and Agric Capital for the good gestures extended to youths and farmers.

On his part, the President of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, Alhaji Asiwaju Dapo Wahab advised the beneficiaries to be honest, uphold the principles of dedication towards improved productivity.

He encouraged them to live above board and not engage in any form of activities that will disappoint the project Initiators.

He concluded by appreciating the Management of Agric Capital led by Mrs Bishi for their continuous support for youth development, support for farmers as well as women empowerment.

The major part of the event also witnessed the induction of the beneficiaries by the Farm Manager and General Manager of Agric Capital after which rules and regulations guiding the project were well spelt to the participants.

She further informed the beneficiaries that they would be trained on Good Agriculture Practice and necessary Training.

The Farm Manager Agbebolutife also showcased products made from crops planted previously by the Agric Capital to dignitaries and beneficiaries at the event.

In attendance were Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation team members, Alhaja Folashade Agboola, Mr Eze Happiness, Mr Eleyele and Mr. Wakeel Olaniyan, Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture OGUNCCIMA Acting Secretary – General.

Others Include; Agric Capital General Manager, Mrs Bishi, Farm Manager, Agbe Bolutife, Mr. Tumise, Media Officer and Miss Bolaji Ishola.
