A fire broke out on Wednesday morning at Eco Fitness Center, a popular fitness facility located in Abuja’s Gwarinpa area.
Reports indicate that around 10:00 am, flames began engulfing the building, leading to an emergency evacuation.
Approximately 50 people were able to escape safely as the fire spread through parts of the center. Firefighters were promptly alerted and arrived at the scene to contain the blaze.
As of the time of filing this report, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, though investigations are ongoing.
According to a source from the scene, while firefighters managed to successfully put out the flames, “large portions of the facility were unfortunately razed.”
Thankfully, no casualties were reported in the incident.
