Fire Guts Electronic Complex in Ogun

An early morning fire gutted a multimillion naira Olujimi Emmanuel electronic complex in Totoro area of Abeokuta the Ogun State capital.

The early morning fire incident which engulfed the three story building of the electronic complex commenced around 7am this Sunday morning.

According to the information gathered by our correspondent at the scene of the incident, it was learnt that the fire completely razed the building housing multi-million naira electronics, electrical appliances and other households gadgets.

The multimillion naira electronic complex was owned by one Mr. Emmanuel Olujimi who owns electronic stores in strategic locations in Abeokuta metropolis.

As at the time our reporter visited the scene of the incident, the cause of the early morning fire outbreak remains unknown. Although many of the residents around the area attributed the outbreak to the high voltage of electricity in the area.

Our correspondent gathered that the first set of operatives from Ogun State Fire and Safety Service got to the scene of the incident around 7:15am but could not put off the ravaging inferno.

It was however observed that the second set of operatives from the Federal Fire and Safety Service got to the scene around 8:15am and were able to successfully put off the inferno with their firefighting engines.
