Fire Engulfs Idumota Market

A fire emergency at the intersection of Nnamdi Azikwe and Docemo in Idumota, Lagos, has prompted the response of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service. The call was received at 07:41 hours, and emergency services swiftly mobilized to the scene.

Upon arrival at 07:58 hours, firefighters discovered that the fire had spread across three buildings, including two 2-storey structures and one three-storey building.

Efforts to extinguish the flames are currently underway, with firefighting operations being conducted by teams from the Ebute Elefun, Ilupeju, and Alausa fire stations.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing. As of now, there are no confirmed casualties.

Residents are urged to cooperate with emergency personnel and avoid the area for their safety.
