FIBAN Members Mourn Passage of Veteran Broadcaster, Dare Best Alabi

The members of Federation of Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) have taken to their social media platforms to mourn the sudden demise of Ace Broadcaster, Dare Best Alabi.

Dare Best Alabi Popularly known as Alapatira was announced dead in the late hours of yesterday, Monday 18th May, 2020 by his media colleagues.

A whole lot of people including colleagues, fans, family and friends were thrown into great mourning after the news of the loss of one of their own. Veteran broadcaster, Dare Best Alabi, has reportedly passed on.

The cause of his demise was however not mentioned but a source said the famous anchor of Late Monday show, OPALAPATIRA on a Lagos based Radio Station, Faaji FM was battling a mild sickness and rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta where he gave up the ghost.

Colleagues however took to their social media platforms to pay their last respect to the late Dare Best Alabi.

On his part, Akinyemi Olatoye Alawiye Federation, Former Ogun State FIBAN Chairman said, “I Still don’t believe that you’re the one I saw lying lifeless in that ambulance few hours ago, I was waiting for someone to wake me up that it was all a dream not until they wheel you into the morgue, and we were asked to go home and I asked few colleagues present if it was true you’re gone…..Bestoo ooshaa like I use to call you, so I wont gist with you again, I won’t discuss FIBAN with you again, yeeee……..
E jowo e ba mi daro Ara mi, my gist partner is gone, I can’t just control this tears at the moment even while typing this.
A fantastic freelance broadcaster with vast experience is gone just that…..Oludare Best omo Alabi, I will miss you greatly, but i take solace in the fact that I can’t question God bcos He has power of life and death and there is nothing we can do to that.

Soyombo hailed the late Alabi as a vibrant and energetic broadcaster as he was obviously touched by his demise.

Soyombo shared a photo of the late Alabi and also accompanied it with words of praise and prayer.

He wrote: “We lost a vibrant, energetic and veteran broadcaster today. Mr Opalapatira Olorioko Dare Best-Alabi This is a great loss to FIBAN Lagos chapter. We lost a boss, father, brother, adviser and a great talent. May your gentle soul rest in peace. May God give your family and Fiban family Nationwide the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

“And may He put an end to sorrow in our lives. Amen.”

JCMC Adedeji Sodiq Olalekan said, “Who pressed the STOP BUTTON while the music is still on play mode?

The microphone needed you, sir…. Why do you decide to handed it over without notice?

I was shocked when saw his death announcement on my association (FIBAN) platform today that OLUWADAMILARE ALABI (Olorioko Dare Best) is gone. His Facebook last post I saw last when he talked about ABBA KYARI death not knowing he is the next person. May your soul continue to rest in peace Olorioko Dare Best Alabi.”

Biyi Samuel, a renowned Gospel Muscican also on his official Facebook page wrote, “I have published a lot of posts to the Glory of God, but this one is rather too heavy for me to have control over. Our story as brothers and friends I can’t even start to write.”
