FG, States advised to focus on purposeful Basic Education

The Federal and State Governments have been advised to focus purposeful basic education system, that equips children with skills by taking advantage of the opportunities provided by modern technology.

An Education Civil society organization made the appeal while addressing journalists on the state of education in Nigeria saying, there is need to evolve a school curriculum that takes care of the particular needs of Nigeria.

Chief Executive Officer of the initiative Paul Chukwuma maintained that technology could be effectively deployed to increase the interest of street children in learning. He also dismissed a report in the media that the forum took N2.9 billion from TEtfund without executing the approved project.
