FG calls for the domestication of the disability act in every state

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development have urged state Directors in charge of Persons Living with Disabilities across the country to domesticate the Law Against Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities, PWDs in order to provide effective service delivery.

The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Nasiru Gwarzo disclosed this in Abuja at the Annual Conference of Directors responsible for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities in Nigeria

At an Annual Conference for Directors Responsible for the Rehabilitation of persons with Disabilities in Nigeria, held in Abuja, stakeholders strongly emphasized the need to domesticate the Act in every state for effective Service Delivery to all persons with Disability.

The Humanitarian Ministry assured that it will continue with its conscious efforts towards addressing issues that relate to persons with Disabilities in Nigeria for overall National Development.
