The Federal Government has declared it’s readiness to collaborate with the British Council towards the development of Education In Nigeria.
The Minister of Education Prof Tahir Mamman, made the declaration in Abuja on Thursday while hosting a delegation from the British Council of Nigeria Officials, led by Country Director Lucy Pearson, at his office.
Galaxy Tv reports that the Minister of Education, Prof Tahir Mamman, reiterated the government and Ministry’s readiness to collaborate with the British Council, just as he emphasized the importance of qualitative Education and expressed the Ministry’s willingness to support initiatives aligned with its goals.
Also speaking at the event, the Minister of State for Education, Dr Yusuf Sununu,expressed his enthusiasm for Nigeria hosting the Going Global Africa Regional Conference and the invitation to the Education World Forum in London.They highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to producing graduates, who are skilled for the industrial sector and fostering creative thinking through initiatives such as the Developing Online Teaching Skills (DOTS) Projects.
Earlier, the Country Director of British Council of Nigeria, Lucy Pearson, commended the Ministry for its policy initiatives and recent approval to host the Going Global Africa Regional Conference.
She expressed excitement about future collaborations and highlighted the Educational World Forum in London as an opportunity for fruitful discussions.
