A Rotarian, Dr Gabriel Adedayo Adebayo has been appointed as the substantive Registrar of the Federal College of Education, Abeokuta.
His appointment which takes effect from the 2nd March, 2020 is for a term of five years in the first instance.

Director of Information ,Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, said the new registrar is a highly cerebral and quite intetigent ,Gabriel Adedayo Adebayo, has to his credit a First Degree, Masters’ Degree and Ph.D in Sociology and another Masters’ Degree in Industrial and Labour Relations (MILR) all from the prestigious University of Ibadan.
He started his career with the Federal College of Education as Administrative Officer II in the year 1992. With dint of hard work, devotion and dedication, he rose to the position of a Deputy Registrar in the year 2006
Before this well-deserved appointment, he was Deputy Registrar Junior Staff Establishment (2006-2009), Council Affairs (2009-2017) and Records and Scholarship Division of the Registry in the College (2017- 2020).
A fellow of the very distinctive Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) , Dr Adebayo is also a Fellow Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management; Fellow, Certified Board of Administrators of Nigeria; Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administration and Member, Association of University Administrators (United Kingdom).
He has several Commendations, Awards and Distinctions to his credit. He is the current President of Rotary Club of Obantoko, District 9110 Nigeria.
Dr Adebayo has thirty – four (34) publications including Journal Articles and Chapters in books. He has attended well over twenty – nine Conferences and Workshops within and outside the Country.
Dr Gabriel Adedayo Adebayo, FNIM,FCIPDM, FCBAN, FICA, a swift and energetic volleyball player has won many medals and awards spanning through his undergraduate years in university of Ibadan and during the Colleges of Education games in Nigeria .He is happily married with Children.
