FCT Police Command Arrests Two Notorious Car Thieves, Recovers Stolen Vehicles

Abuja – The FCT Police Command has announced the arrest of two notorious car theft suspects, Ibrahim Haliru, 45, and Babangida Mohammed, 27, in connection with a series of car thefts in the Federal Capital Territory and its environs.

According to a press release signed by SP Josephine Adeh, FCT Police PRO, the suspects were arrested on April 23, 2024, at about 3:00 PM, in a hotel in Nasarawa State, following a digital reconstruction intelligence operation.

The police recovered five stolen vehicles and various items suspected to be charms from the suspects, who have been on the command’s wanted list for several months.

The Commissioner of Police in FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, has urged residents to take necessary steps to protect their valuables and to report any suspicious activities to the police through the emergency lines: 08032003913, 08028940883, 08061581938, and 07057337653.

The police reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of life and property in the FCT.
