Iloko Ijesa, an ancient Community in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State was yesterday thrown into a fanfare atmosphere following the triumphant entry of Prince Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe to the town.

Our correspondent gathered that sons and daughters of Iloko Ijesa came out in their numbers, singing, dancing and praising the arrival of the new traditional monarch.

The new king who dressed in a White traditional attire was seen in a joyous mood greeting and appreciating the community dwellers for the support received from them during the trying time of getting the approval for the new traditional ruler.

The arrival of the new monarch into the Iloko Ijesa community was however rounded up with an elaborate ceremony as visitors, sons and daughters of the ancient Community were thrilled with traditional entertainment, while the youth were also not left behind as they had the opportunity to dance to some hip-hop songs.

Recalled that Prince Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe was recently approved to fill the huge space left behind by Late Oba Oladele Olashore who passed on in the year 2012, by the Osun State Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola after a lot of dilly – dallying.

However, Prince Akeem Ogungbangbe is billed to commence traditional rites into the new position from 4th May, 2021, while the Coronation and Presentation of Staff of Office by Osun State Governor would hold on Saturday, 24th July, 2021.
