Embrace The Teachings Of Eld-el-Kabir – Ogun Deputy Governor

Muslim faithfuls have been admonished to reflect on the tenets of Islam and embrace the teachings of Eid El Kabir as they celebrate in moderation.

Making this known was the State Deputy Governor, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele during the special Eid prayers held at the Ota Muslim Community prayer Ground, Akeja, Ota.

The Deputy Governor who used the opportunity to appreciate the people of Ota for their support, during the last concluded elections in the state, noted that apart from being the industrial capital, it formed the 13 percent of the voting populace which the current administration appreciates.

She promised them adequate representation and more visible development to the area, charging them to remain united regardless of their religious differences.

The Olota of Ota, Oba Abdulkabir Obalanlege, in his remarks urged all son and daughters of Ota to continue to embrace peace, come together as one, love one another, be their brothers keeper and desist from any religious or ethnic violence

In his sermon, Chief Imam of Ota, Imam Sadiq Buhari Aladi, represented by Alhaji Abdulwasiu Akinboyede, thanked Almighty Allah for His benevolence and grace in the life of muslim faithfuls, urging muslim faithfuls to renew their relationship with their families, neighbours, friends and show love to one another.

According to him, ‘let’s shun backbiting, violence, hatred, evil act and embrace peace and harmony. In doing this, we would see that our ways will be prosperous’.

While praying for the state government for a prosperous tenure, he acknowledged the support of the Deputy Governor towards the growth of Islam in Ota and its environs
